Outstanding SciFi/Horror following an American Antartic research station’s infiltration by a shape-shifting alien. The film begins with a helicopter of crazed Norweigens trying to shoot a rouge husky. After the helicopter crashes, the Americans take in the dog - ignorant to its identity as a murderous chameleon. Paranoia grows as the researchers realize they can’t trust one another, culminating in a superb scene with a hot wire and Petri-dishes of blood. The special effects are gruesome and fantastic.
